Oman Medical College ( OMC) celebrated the graduation of its sixth batch of 69 medical doctors (MD degree), its seventh batch of 31 pharmacists (B.Pharm. degree) and 28 students with a degree in Health Sciences (BSc degree) under the Patronage of Her Highness Dr Muna bint Fahad Al Said, assistant vice chancellor for External Cooperation Affairs, Sultan Qaboos University.

The graduation function was attended also by Dr Christopher Colenda, chancellor of Health Sciences, West Virginia University, and Dr Christopher Martin, the representative of West Virginia University on the Governing Council of OMC. Also present were members of the Board of Directors Sheikh Salim bin Saeed Hamed Al Fannah Al Araimi, Dr P. Mohamed Ali, and Khulood bint Mohammed Al Araimi. The function was attended by students, their proud parents and faculty.

The college has provided excellent teaching and physical facilities, thanks to the generous support from the government and the commitment of the owners; Al Araimi, Mohamed Ali and Khulood Al Araimi. Moving forward, OMC is planning to establish new programmes to train health professionals in fields required to improve the health of Omanis.
